Comedian and fellow live-action superhero fan, Thom Tran of the Sex, Jokes & Rock N Roll podcast, joins us as we cover everything revealed at San Diego Comic Con for Marvel and DC. This is part 1 of a 2 part podcast, on the Laugh Factory Podcast Network.
Since Joss Whedon has taken over, reshoots, or as Warner would like you to call them, additional shoots, are taking place. Along with them, we’ve now seen this image, originally posted by the Twitter account of the UK fan site, “DC World.”
Speculation as to whether this is supposed to be early construction on a Hall Of Justice set piece, or a Watchtower set piece is running rampant, but either way, our DC heroes look like they’re getting a proper home base.
Before we get too carried away, Tim Burton is filming Dumbo in the same area, but c’mon, it has to be the Hall, right? Right? Catch the next podcast and we’ll give you our opinions on it!
Oh yeah, and it’s set 2 generations before Kal-El is born. Today we got the trailer for Krypton and we have to ask the question: why? The series is set to cover the life and times of Superman’s grandfather, a character people were just dying to know about (sarcasm, intended.)
Of course, the powers that Superman has on Earth are largely due to the effect of the sun’s rays and Earths’ gravity, which means the Kryptonians on Krypton are essentially no more powered than the average earthling. Are we sensing another Caprica-type bomb for SyFy? David Goyer is behind this, so we’d hope not, but we’ll have to wait and see, when it premieres later this year.
Well we’ve been promised it and today we got the 2nd full traicler for the upcoming Warner Bros. And Zach Snyder “Justice League” movie.
The film which stars Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne/Batman and Gal Gadot as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman seek out to bring together other powerful meta humans in Cyborg,The Flash and Aquaman after the death of Superman to combat a new outerworldly threat.
The trailer gives us our first glimpses of Cyborg in Action and full flight, Amber Heard as Queen Mera, JK Simmons as Commissioner Gordon and others. Take a look and let us know what you think.
There are concerns over Marvel’s first Netflix miss, finally hope for a DC movie, and comedians Jay Washington and Bobby Hill are covering that and more from your favorites, on the Laugh Factory Podcast Network! This week we talk about Iron Fist’s shaky early reviews, the crazy cool shots from the start of filming on Inhumans, Deadpool finding it’s Domino and a bunch of fresh news on a few X-Men-related properties. On the DC side, we’re jacked about Wonder Woman’s private screening and new trailer, Matt Reeves power play for Batman, possible characters and directors for Justice League and Superman, respectively, and recaps of Supergirl, Flash, Legends of Tomorrow and Marvel’s Legion!

SPOILER ALERT… but by now if you don’t know, well, shit. Zack Snyder’s “Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice” ended with the Man of Steel being killed in his battle with Doomsday, shadowing the Death of Superman story line from the comics. Yesterday, the Boy Scout himself, Henry Cavill Instagramed a close up shot of the new Black Superman Suit with the hashtag #Superman, which we’ll presumably see in the new Justice League movie due out on November 17th, 2017.
This MAY indicate that the Justice League film will resurrect the Man of Steel paralleling the “Return of Superman” story line in the 90’s when Krypton’s Last Son wore the black regeneration suit while we was getting his powers back after, well, being dead.
This isn’t the first time Cavill will have worn a black House of El battle suit though. In Zack Snyder’s 2013 “Man of Steel”, during a dream sequence Cavill’s Superman wore a black Super suit while talking to General Zod.
