She made waves with her solo series and kept everyone captivated throughout the Defenders mini-series. Now the foul-mouthed, whiskey guzzling, superhero private investigator is back for the second go round of her solo series and we have a release date.

The 55-second video tease is basically based on “getting back to unfinished business.” Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter) is beginning to put her life back together after murdering her tormenter, Kilgrave. Now known throughout the city as a super-powered killer, a new case makes her reluctantly confront who she really is while digging deeper into her past to explore the reasons why.
Ritter is joined by returning cast members Rachael Taylor (Trish Walker), Carrie-Anne Moss (Jeri Hogarth), Eka Darville (Malcolm Ducasse) and new cast members Janet McTeer and J.R. Ramirez, among others.

When the announcement initially came that there would be 68-72 characters in Avengers:Infinity War, many were wondering where would they pull those extra heroes from. Because Marvel not having the rights to any of the X-men characters amongst others could make that number kind of hard to reach.
Promotional art for the film was posted online and it featured the characters Yondu played by Michael Rooker and The Ancient One played by Tilda Swinton. So we see they can have characters to pull from.
But In an interview with CNET, co-director Joe Russo explained that Infinity War will feature a lot of unexpected characters. Here’s what he had to say:
“There’s going to be a lot of unexpected characters. There are more surprises packed into this film than any of the others. Part of that is character interactions, new interesting characters, characters that have made small appearances that are really getting fleshed out in this film. A lot of people enjoy the experience, so I don’t want to give anything away, but certainly you can expect lots of surprises.”
To date, the MCU stretches across almost ten years with a roster of seventeen films made so far, including the upcoming Thor: Ragnarok. Also let’s not forget that There are connected tv shows on network television and Netflix (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D,Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Daredevil, Iron Fist, The Punisher) There have been many characters to be featured in all of those films so the possibility of who could fill in the ensemble is immense.
We’ve had small clip after small clip, but today the full official Punisher trailer hit the internet, and we have it for you! We knew this one was going to be violent and it looks like they’ve gone all out to give Frank Castle a modern, gritty look that’s consistent with the current Marvel-Netflix universe. Look forward to our breakdown of this on our next episode, coming out this weekend!
There isn’t much known about Sigourney Weaver’s mysterious character “Alexandra” from the upcoming “Marvel’s The Defenders” series. All that we have been told is that she is a bad-ass bent on the destruction of New York City. We don’t know her motivation or exactly how far her evil goes.
This final trailer for the series that premiers tomorrow August 18th show a piece of how menacing she can be. The musical string in the background heighten the moment as we see her interaction with the foursome.
It seems that the “controversy” and negative criticism isn’t derailing the Marvel’s street level heroes train anytime soon. Netflix has officially renewed Iron Fist for a second season as news is coming out of Comic-con in San Diego.
Marvel TV head Jeph Loeb made the announcement at San Diego Comic-Con on Friday. In addition, Loeb hinted that Colleen Wing (Jessica Henwick) would team up with NYPD detective Misty Knight (Simone Missick), who first appeared in Season 1 of “Luke Cage.” The characters previously partnered together in the Marvel comic books.
“Iron Fist” stars “Game of Thrones” alum Finn Jones as Danny Rand, the heir to the multi-billion dollar Rand Corp. who returns to New York after training for years in the mysterious city of K’un-Lun. Through his training, he was chosen to be the living weapon known as the Iron Fist, which allows him to channel his chi energy into his fists.
In addition to Jones and Henwick, the series also starred Rosario Dawson, who has appeared as nurse Claire Temple in all of the Marvel-Netflix shows to date. Season 1 also starred Jessica Stroup, Tom Pelphrey, David Wenham, and Wai Ching Ho.
“Iron Fist” was the fourth Marvel-Netflix series to be released. The show was preceded by “Daredevil,” “Jessica Jones,” and “Luke Cage.” All four main characters will then team up for “The Defenders” event series, which will debut on Netflix on Aug. 18. In addition, Netflix has ordered a spinoff based on “The Punisher,” with Jon Bernthal reprising the title role, which he originated in Season 2 of “Daredevil.”
It doesn’t seem to be slowing down or stopping for unbreakable Power Man more affectionately known as Luke Cage.
Now first this summer Luke will join forces with Matt Murdock, Jessica Jones and Danny Rand in Marvel’s The Defenders on Netflix and now production has begun on Season 2 of the highly popular series.
In the usual Marvel fashion we have no idea what’s going to happen in season two, but star Mike Colter has said it may deal with Luke’s public identity as the bulletproof hero of Harlem. And there has to be some effect from what happens in The Defenders.
Also expected to return are Simone Missick as Misty Knight, Theo Rossi as Shades and Alfre Woodard as Mariah Dillard.
Marvel’s Netflix series have a full slate planned for the next year. The Defenders premieres Aug. 18 followed by The Punisher later this year. Daredevil, Jessica Jones and Luke Cage will debut new seasons in 2018.
With having seen season 1 and now rolling into Marvel’s The Defenders are you excited for season 2? What potential Marvel villian would you like to see? Who would you like to see portray them?
