Fresh off of C2E2 in Chicago, comedians Jay Washington and Bobby Hill are back to load you up with everything going on in the live-action worlds of Marvel and DC, on the Laugh Factory Podcast Network. This week, we get you the latest info on The Avengers, Eternals, Deadpool 2, X-Men: Dark Phoenix, New Mutants, Jessica Jones, Titans, Batgirl, Batman, Black Adam, Aquaman, Legends Of Tomorrow, Flash, Black Lightning, Arrow, Gotham, Krypton, Agents Of Shield, and Legion.
When it comes to it’s Marvel series’, Netflix tends to keep the lid on season renewals pretty tight and not always immediate. If you’re a fan of Jessica Jones, get excited, as the series is returning for another run, the third in the series. This is empowering news, as many people felt the show’s second season was not as good as it’s first. While you may get an agreement from me, I’d also say that after the groundbreaking, powerful first season Krysten Ritter and crew dropped on everyone, a sophomore jinx wasn’t the most shocking. However, the potential for a rebound in season 3 is pretty high, considering the way this year’s came to a close.
Ritter will of course be back as the titular character, and it’d be wise to expect Rachael Taylor, Eka Darville, and Carrie-Anne Moss to return as well. Along with them, Melissa Rosenberg has been retained as the showrunner, so if there is a method to the path she sent our characters on in season 2, we’ll hopefully seen it more fleshed out in the season to come.
Are you excited about another season for Jessica Jones? Hit us up and let us know!
Jessica Jones is back with a new trailer for the new season, the shows second, on Netflix. This season looks like it’s going to delve into Jones’ past, going into how she gained her abilities and who else might also have received them. It looks like another soul searching, layered season this year, and frankly, I’m looking forward to an entire series of episodes about a leading woman, directed by women. We see expanded roles for a number of characters, especially Trish Walker (played by Rachael Taylor) and what looks like the return of the Purple Man (David Tenant – season 1’s big bad,) before it’s all over. Season 2 premieres on March 8th. Check out the trailer below, and tell us what you think!
She made waves with her solo series and kept everyone captivated throughout the Defenders mini-series. Now the foul-mouthed, whiskey guzzling, superhero private investigator is back for the second go round of her solo series and we have a release date.
In a tweet sent out (see below) the account for the show lets us know the premiere date is March 8, 2018
The 55-second video tease is basically based on “getting back to unfinished business.” Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter) is beginning to put her life back together after murdering her tormenter, Kilgrave. Now known throughout the city as a super-powered killer, a new case makes her reluctantly confront who she really is while digging deeper into her past to explore the reasons why.
Ritter is joined by returning cast members Rachael Taylor (Trish Walker), Carrie-Anne Moss (Jeri Hogarth), Eka Darville (Malcolm Ducasse) and new cast members Janet McTeer and J.R. Ramirez, among others.
It doesn’t seem to be slowing down or stopping for unbreakable Power Man more affectionately known as Luke Cage.
Now first this summer Luke will join forces with Matt Murdock, Jessica Jones and Danny Rand in Marvel’s The Defenders on Netflix and now production has begun on Season 2 of the highly popular series.
In the usual Marvel fashion we have no idea what’s going to happen in season two, but star Mike Colter has said it may deal with Luke’s public identity as the bulletproof hero of Harlem. And there has to be some effect from what happens in The Defenders.
Also expected to return are Simone Missick as Misty Knight, Theo Rossi as Shades and Alfre Woodard as Mariah Dillard.
Marvel’s Netflix series have a full slate planned for the next year. The Defenders premieres Aug. 18 followed by The Punisher later this year. Daredevil, Jessica Jones and Luke Cage will debut new seasons in 2018.
With having seen season 1 and now rolling into Marvel’s The Defenders are you excited for season 2? What potential Marvel villian would you like to see? Who would you like to see portray them?
Well it’s no longer just a teaser, we have an official trailer for the upcoming Netflix series Marvel’s The Defenders and we get kind of an idea how somethings come together.
We open with Det. Misty Knight interrogating Jessica Jones about interfering in a police case resulting in someone’s death until she is interrupted by her “new attorney” in Matt Murdock (Daredevil). From there we see a freed from prison Luke Cage who reconnects with Claire Temple who tells him he should meet someone, who turns out to be Danny Rand stopping an assailant in an alley.
From there many interactions happen including Danny attempting to use the Iron Fist on Luke to no avail and a voice over monologue from Stick, Daredevil’s old teacher, talking how the four need to work together in “the battle for New York”. We even see Electra in the Hand’s mysterious Resurrection drum.
In this trailer we also get our first real look into Sigourney Weaver’s “Alexandria” Adnan yet still don’t know much more about her but what we she is she is surrounded by what can be assumed to be members of the Hand.
There is SO MUCH MORE but we want you to check out the the trailer before for yourself and let us know does this get you excited for the August premiere.
Let the official countdown commence. We now have a release date for the arrival of Marvel’s newest ensemble of heroes.
The Defenders which brings together Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist will hit Netflix on August 18th 2017.
